When opening an applet users are redirected to java.com to download the latest version, though already installed

      When opening an applet users are redirected to java.com with Java 7u40, although the users have the latest version (Java 7u40) installed on their system. This issue is apparently not associated with any specific applet

      The support team was not able to reproduce this issue.

      Support added this link to the incident submission 'me-too' page form http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/expire_date.xml, but still we continue to get a slew of incidents related to this issue.
