After installing Java 7u40, users unable to validate certificate

      A user reported the following:
      "Ever since an update of Java appears the access to EPC from Daimler Benz doesn't work anymore.
      Up to now the certificate "Daimler Certificate.csr" alsways helped when I re-imported it into Java. With your Java 7-40 update it doesn't work anymore; meaning EPC."

      This has so far been reported with:
      Java version: 7u40
      OS: Windows 7
      Browsers: IE, Chrome and Firefox
