FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Windows 7
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
On updating Java, I was offered an "Uninstall Older Versions" option. On this page there was a link to "Terms and Conditions". This link did not do anything.
I was not able to read the T's & C's, but felt pressured into proceeding. I'm very aware that Java can be used by hackers to get into my computer.
I had to proceed without knowledge of these terms and conditions. They may have contained a section in which I agree to you looking at all the information I hold on my computer. I don't know if they do.
In a technological world where everybody accepts T's & C's without looking, I stand out as one who does not trust per se. I always read the T's & C's.
If these are not made available, you leave yourself open to a massive lawsuit.
I suggest you deal with this quickly.
ADDITIONAL REGRESSION INFORMATION:
Version 7 Update 45
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
I installed Java and was then directed to check if java was working. After that I was directed to check for older versions, which would then be uninstalled.
The continue also included an acceptance of T's & C's.
The hyperlink to T's & C's did not produce any result.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
I expected to be able to read the terms and conditions before I proceeded.
ACTUAL -
No Terms and conditions were displayed.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
---------- BEGIN SOURCE ----------

CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :

This makes me ver nervous and unhappy.
