Reboot computer. Open IE8 and visit http://java.com/en/download/uninstallapplet.jsp
When the " Do you want to run this application? " dialog appears, click Run. (On my first attempt, the web page wanted to load JRE 7u21 in order to run the Java Uninstall Applet. I allowed JRE7u21 to install and run, then started the applet.)
When the message " You have the following unsecure versions of Java that should be uninstalled " appeared, I made sure the box for Java(TM) 6 Update 25 was checked.
I then clicked " Uninstall Selected Versions " .
A popup window appeared. I clicked " Continue to Uninstall " .
After the applet completed, an alert with the message " Some or all of the versions of Java could not be uninstalled. " Java(TM) 6 Update 25 was listed as not uninstalled.
I clicked " View a log of activities performed during uninstall. " The file
C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Local Settings\Temp\juninstall_log.html
appeared in another tabbed window of the browser. The file contained this message:
5/1/13 2:14 AM: Java(TM) 6 Update 25 wasn't uninstalled because of the following error: This action is only valid for products that are currently installed. (error code is 1605)
When I then started Windows Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, Java(TM) 6 Update 25 is still listed as an installed program.

EXPECTED -
