A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The new layouts, fonts, and color schemes for Java 7 Javadoc are very hard to read.
For example, in the "Methods" tab, placing the method name directly above and at the same indent level as the description makes it difficult to quickly find the method name(s) that I'm looking for. My eyes now have to separate out the method names from the leading text of the description for each method.
I've been working in Java for 15+ years and with Java7 I've noticed a considerable slow-down in my ability to dig through the Javadoc simply because it is harder to read.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
1. Please put the method names in a separate column, away from the descriptions.
2. Please reconsider the light blue and gray color scheme. Yes it is very attractive but it's less functional than previous color schemes due to the lower contrast between the light blue and gray being used.
ACTUAL -
The content is fine.
