As part of the JDK modularization effort, we plan to restructure the source code as module. HPROF creates a challenge because it is both a demo and a simple profiling agent shipped with the JDK.
This bug requests that HPROF be dropped as a demo and instead moved into the regular source tree so that it can be maintained and built along with the rest of the JDK sources.
