A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
During verification of 7u55 and 8u5 we discovered that text entry of german Umlaute is broken in 7u55, 7u60 and 8u5 for Java Web Start applications.
If you type FN + Umlaut it works, but Backspace is also broken.

REGRESSION. Last worked in version 7u51

This bug can be reproduced always.
CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
If we download the jnlp file first and start the webstart app with javaws xxx.jnlp everything is working
