NOT a REGRESSION.
I could not force Screen Readers (both NVDA 2014.2 & Windows Narrator) to read Swing Components at all.
I tested on Win 7 & 8.
I tested Public JRE 6 & 7 both i586 & x64.
1)All dlls are on their place. (WindowsAccessBridge-64.dll & WindowsAccessBridge-32.dll are in system32, & so on). I used http://docs.oracle.com/javase/accessbridge/2.0.2/setup.htm
2) JAB is enabled. (lines in accessibility.properties are uncommented)
3) JavaFerret sees all messages and works perfectly.
Screen readers NVDA & Windows Narrator keep silence!!!!!
But NVDA should be supported according to http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/access/enable_and_test.html :
Install an assistive technology product that supports Java Access Bridge such as one of the following products:
- JAWS
- NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA)
- SuperNova
- Window-Eyes
But JAWS works!
Previously I run JAB in he same configuration and Screen readers worked perfectly. Very strange!
May be some Windows update?
