Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10)

EXTRA RELEVANT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION :
I am running a fairly clean version the public beta of Yosemite.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
JDK installer will not let installation continue as it believes Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) is an earlier version of Mac OS X than the required 10.7. I believe this is probably the case because it equates 10.10 to be 10.1.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Install the beta version of Mac OS X Yosemite
2. Download and begin the installation of the JDK (JRE might have the same issue
3.Error appears right after clicking on the package located in the .dmg

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
I was expecting a normal installation. Upon updating my computer without a clean install (java preinstalled), it seemed to work fine.
ACTUAL -
An error box will appear and not allow installation to continue.

ERROR MESSAGES/STACK TRACES THAT OCCUR :
"Java from Oracle requires Mac OS X 10.7.3 or later.

Your system has Mac OS X Version 10.10. This product can be installed on Version 10.7.3 or later.
Visit java.com/help for more information."

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
