A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
After updating to Java 7 update 71, plugin does not work anymore with Opera 12.17 browser ( http://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera/win/1217/ ).
Tested on Windows 7 and XP.
Also tested Java 7 update 72 with same issue.

Last version working in Opera 12 is Java 7 update 67.

REGRESSION. Last worked in version 7u67

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Install jre-7u71-windows-i586.exe
2. Open Opera 12 browser and type opera:plugins to be sure java plugin is listed.
3. Go to https://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp


EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Java Tray icon is shown but opera does not show anything
ACTUAL -
Opera browser should show Java installed version

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
Downgrade to Java 7 update 67
