FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
JSE 7u55 (build 1.7.0_55-b14)
JDK-7u5-windows-i586.exe
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
MS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit
Version 6.1 Build 7601 SP 1
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Java Auto Update is failing (it normally works fine).
I have JSE 7.55 (build 1.7.0_55-b14) 32 bit installed on a Dell laptop under MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Java Update (set to Notify Me "Before Downloading") is prompting to update to 7 Update 65, but when (from Admin user a/c) I allow the Install it errors with a popup titled "Error - Java Update" and textbox "Unable to validate security integrity on the file. File is either corrupted or unsigned."
Switching my Zonealarm Extreme Security AV and firewall off makes no difference.
I have tried many times over the last month (in hope bug was fixed). Always same error.
REGRESSION. Last worked in version 7u51
ADDITIONAL REGRESSION INFORMATION:
Have not had this error on previous Java Updates. Only this 7u55 to 7u65 attempt.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
As in Description. Allow the Java Update to run or trigger it from Java Control Panel / Update. Update starts, then errors as in Description.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Java Update to run as normally and update the JSE version.
ACTUAL -
Java Update errors with a popup titled "Error - Java Update" and textbox "Unable to validate security integrity on the file. File is either corrupted or unsigned."
No other info provided at error time and unclear what's errored and exactly where the popup is coming from (Java or O/S or Windows Defender or etc.)
ERROR MESSAGES/STACK TRACES THAT OCCUR :
As in Actual Result.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

Not applicable.

CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
None yet found - other than to de-install JSE + JDK + Netbeans and install the Java 8 equivalents maybe!!!
