      FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
      java version "1.8.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)

      ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
      14.0.0 Darwin Kernel Version 14.0.0: Fri Sep 19 00:26:44 PDT 2014; root:xnu-2782.1.97~2/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
      Java Web Start 11.25.2.17

If jnlp file includes an <information> section for a specific OS, the <vendor> and <title> from the non OS specific <information> is ignored in certain places. The plugin cannot create shortcuts due to the blank title and the title does not appear in the Finder menu bar at the top of the screen when the application is running. The title does appear during the earlier download and security dialogs.

Also after initial upgrade from JDK7 plugin to JDK8 plugin, the titles of existing cached apps are no longer displayed in the viewer. There is still an entry for each one, but title is blank.

Not sure if it's relevant but I have a fully signed Application, including an APPLICATION_TEMPLATE.JNLP.

REGRESSION. Last worked in version 7u72

      REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

      CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
Duplicating the <vendor> and <title> elements within the OS specific <information> element resolves the issue.
