A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The website http://diegem.wirelessantwerpen.be:8901/ contains an unsigned java applet. (The publisher explains the applets remain unsigned due to the cost of signing them: http://websdr.org/java.html)

After adding http://diegem.wirelessantwerpen.be:8901 to the exception site list in the Java control panel, I still receive the message:

"For security, applications must now meet the requirements for the High or Very High security settings, or be part of the Exception Site List, to be allowed to run."

I have tried adding the site name with and without the port number; it doesn't work in either configuration.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Navigate to the site http://diegem.wirelessantwerpen.be:8901/

As expected, the applets will be blocked as unsigned.

Add the site to the exception site list.

Navigate to the page again; the same block messages will open.

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
After adding the site to the exception list, the applets should have launched.
ACTUAL -
The block messages popped as they had before the site was added to the exception list.

ERROR MESSAGES/STACK TRACES THAT OCCUR :
"For security, applications must now meet the requirements for the High or Very High security settings, or be part of the Exception Site List, to be allowed to run."

When clicking the blank space where the applet should be:

"Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running."

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
