2.9: Minimize references to the Java Programming Language

      The discussion of <init> and <clinit> methods needlessly describes them in terms of Java language constructors and methods. This could be useful in a note, but should not dominate the description. It's easy enough to explain what these methods are for, how they are defined, and why they cannot be arbitrarily invoked, without appealing to the Java language.
