Start SwingSet2.jar demo from a recent jdk8 or jdk9 build on Windows 8.1 with OGL enabled (java -Dsun.java2d.opengl=True -jar SwingSet2.jar).
I tried it with 8u60 b15 and with several jdk9 builds from b40 to b64.
Open JOptionPane demo, select a dialog and try to open it.
On my machine with ATI card the dialog will be blank.
Similar but not quite the same effect was observed with Nvidia card in Evergreen (they had rather old SwingSet2 build, it was all blank).

Note that my smallest example, just painting JOptionPane with a message dialog, runs OK on the same machine.
