This is found with Mac OS X 10.10. The Simplified Chinese Pinyin input method contains some icon candidates, for example, input "haha" as composing text, there is a smile face in the cadidate window. But when trying to commit the icon candidate to javafx TextField/TextArea, it fails. The composing text "haha" is still there, it has to be removed by "delete" keys. Please see attached video.

Also checked with jdk and Swing JTextField. In this case a square box is committed. The behavior looks correct, since the icon may not be displayed in JTextField.
