Run on a Raspberry Pi the attached modified version of "HelloAnimation" that has a transparent background, using

-Dcom.sun.javafx.transparentFramebuffer=true

Observe that the background is cleared, but after six seconds the animation begins and the previous screen contents are visible. The previous screen contents should have been visible from the beginning.
