Presently it is difficult to understand how to use FXML in the absence of sufficient samples.
Hence it would be good if the Ensemble samples can be rewritten to use FXML. Presently everything in the Ensemble samples is in Java code - not FXML.
Do not discard the present way, simply add another package called fxml under src.
