Richard, Steve and I were chatting today and thought that a big cost when bringing up the first screen is rending Regions the first time to populate cache. We could create a pre-populated cache image that we load as a texture at start. Saving us the cost of rendering all those rounded rectangles and gradients the first time. This could also save us a lot on the page to page cost in apps when new controls are first encountered. It would only work for default sized and colored Modena theme. Though could create a Caspian one as well if we needed and load the right one based on theme chosen.
