When the next transition in a SequentialTransition depends on the end result of the previous transition, there is no mechanism to pass the information.

Please expose setOnStarted action event in the transitions to resolve this problem.

For SequentialTransition, setOnStarted as well as setOnTransitionStarted and setOnTransitionFinished are an absolute must.
