OSX 10.9.3
Java 7 update 60
MacBook Pro 11,1
2.4Ghz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris GPU
When using swing and JavaFX (i.e. using a JFXPanel to host the JavaFX GUI) on a latest generation MacBook pro Retina (late 2013 with integrated Intel Iris Pro graphics), the whole GUI is very sluggish. There is extreme lag when resizing the window.
This behaviour is not seen on previous generation Retina MacBook pros or non retina MacBook pros.
This lag is not observed when using JavaFX natively without the JavaFX panel Swing interop.
This issue can be reproduced using the demo from the Oracle web site here:
http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/javafx/2.2.60-b19/javafx_samples-2_2_60-macosx-universal.zip
The SwingInterop.jar from this demo exhibits the extreme lag but the other examples do not.
It works fine on older generation retina MacBook pros.
