Open attached FXML
Select the CheckBox
Choose Edit > Copy
Select the root Pane
Select Edit > Paste - BUG - the selected Pane and all it's children are pasted. The clipboard now contains the Pane and it's children instead of the CheckBox. Note Edit > Paste Into produces the same bug.
