Using external keyboard on Mac, 'DEL' key in inspector textfield delete current node

I am using a compatible PC full keyboard, not the Apple one. press 'DEL' key in any of the textfields in Inspector, it will delete current node. The expected behavior is to delete the character adjacent to the cursor. 'Backspace' key works as expected.
