Launch the attached test case (NB project).
(This is a sample delivered with Scene Builder, with very little adjustment to make the issue more visible)
As one can see, the first item of the ListView (projec1) is selected, although the ListView doesn't have the focus.
Selecting another project raise an NPE, this is a side effect of this issue.
