The combo box for selecting a FileExtensionFilter option is missing from the FileChooser dialog in JDK 1.7.0_51 on OSX 10.9.1 (Mavericks) meaning that if you add a specific filter "*.log" and a wildcard filter "*.*" you cannot change to the wildcard filter.

Problem does not occur in Debian GNU/Linux for this JDK.
