With the tweak RT-19659 a draggable tabs API is being considered. It would be beneficial for the API to add functionality to query the current order of the tabs so that information could be persisted and maintained between user sessions.

If a user works with the application on only references certain tabs and would like them all grouped together for ease of use, it would be very helpful if the developer could query the tab control, determine the current order of the tabs, persist that to a settings storage and then on the next load of the screen build the tabs (or reorder them before showing) based on the previous user preferences.
