JavaFX is Open Source, it needs open-source codecs, Ogg Theora and Ogg Vorbis are both high quality, cross-platform and royalty free codecs.

We need codecs that don't have dangerous patents or that require a license purchase.

Ogg Theora is at the level of On2 VP6 and Ogg Vorbis is at the level of AAC, with all the benefits that a high quality codec brings.
