Hello
I'm used to use SWT in my developments too, and especialy the Browser component. One of the feature is the ability to call directly java from javascript (http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/viewvc.cgi/org.eclipse.swt.snippets/src/org/eclipse/swt/snippets/Snippet307.java?view=co), and I think it is quite mandatory, because of the current trend of developping applications once in the web and execute wherever we are (PC, mobile, tablet, ...). PhoneGap (http://www.phonegap.com/) for instance simplifies the achievement of this goal... So personnaly, I imagine javafx more and more as a container like AIR and the abilityto call directly java code from the browser is important.
regards
Xavier
