It is my understanding that Swing's JTree makes it virtually impossible to animate its nodes (see See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8898770/forwarding-mousemoved-events-to-jtree-nodes). Please ensure the same isn't true for JavaFX. I expect to be able to animate a node as the mouse moves across it.
