Can we have createSymbols flag at the Series level instead of Chart level ?

One might need to show symbols for specific series instead of all so can we have a createSymbols flag at Series level instead of Chart level.
Also can createSymbols flag be implicitly set to true if there is only one data object added in the series, as in our case we only want to display a point instead of series on the graph.
