See the app attached.
I want to start my application with a splash screen, and I use the -splash:<image> VM switch.
If in NetBeans I switch the app to use JDK 1.6 as the platform, then runs the app, the splashscreen (ISSUETRACKING image) appears, then the JavaFX stage pops up.
If however I switch the app to use JDK 1.7, only the splashscreen appears, and the JavaFX stage never pops up.
I have experimented the same issue with SceneBuilder - both started from within NetBeans and from within a .dmg.
