Richard states "The solution I like best is one where you co-bundle Java + FX with your application as a single executable" (source http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/openjfx-dev/2011-December/000413.html). The statement is qualified, but it it is clear that, in many situations, a co-bundling approach is a preferred deployment option.
It would be great to have native support in the sdk (e.g. javafxpackager, javafx ant tasks) to create such executables.
