Under some conditions an Applet window will lose keyboard focus and not be able to regain focus. This causes the Applet to not respond to user input. This was partially addressed by the fix for RT-4734 but it was an incomplete solution. In the case where you are using a tabbed browser, selecting another tab in the same browser window and then going back will often trigger this bug.
