The ListView items can sometimes be covered by a gray rectangle. Steps to reproduce:
1. create a list with lots of items
2. scroll to the bottom
3. remove a whole bunch of items
Now the list is very unhappy. A gray rectangle covers the upper portion of the ListView and the vertical scrollbar disappears.
