I've built a usecase that represents a feature we're trying to explore with javafx around keeping a "ticker-like" application running on the users desktop. This sample runs a search against ebay every 10 seconds and loads the results into a vbox.
After 8 hours of running this test
- HttpRequest continues working
- JSON Pull Parser continues working
- Memory hasn't grown significantly
- Image loading FAILS
I've only run this test twice now (on Mac 10.5 only) but on both runs the images stopped loading after 5+ hours roughly, I haven't pinpointed the exact time it fails. I'm also not sure if it's failing after a specific number of requests have been made, or if it's failing after a specific period of time has passed.
Lastly this example uses an ebay account ID attached to EffectiveUI, if the javafx team is planning on adding this as a test case to the normal testing routine, I'd ask that you guys create your own ebay account and link the ID in the testcase.
