Using build 157 run the EffectsPlayground app in standalone (non-applet) mode.

Note that as effects are selected the image does not repaint. Click next to the image to make the effect control "retract" and note that the area where the control overlapped the image shows the effect applied.

Now run with java -Dprism.dirtyopts=false -jar EffectsPlayground.jar

Note that the effects apply immediately.
