DTFX can not detect the existing jre version on the system (any jre version from 6u10 to 6u19). This is specific to IE browser only and such users requested to install Java
In the same env, Firefox and Chrome users will only need to install JavaFX runtime when invoking DT-enable JavaFX application
Also, not that jre 6u19 is the last release that still uses deploytk.dll (instead of deployJava1.dll)
*** Tested env
- x86 XP, Vista
- JavaFX 2.0.2 DT-enable application
- IE, Chrome, Firefox
*** Steps to reproduce:
0) Make sure the system does not have any DT or jre or JavaFX runtime installed
1) Install any jre version (from 6u10 to 6u19)
2) Using IE browser to invoke JavaFX app
http://jre.us.oracle.com/java/re/javafx/2.0.2/promoted/fcs/b08/binaries/windows-i586/javafx-samples-2.0.2/BrickBreaker.html
If you see the message: 'To view the content on this page, please click here to install Java', the issue is reproducible.
