Dirty opts graphical glitches: translucent boxes, white rectangles, and unpainted nodes

XMLWordPrintable

    • Type: Bug
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Priority: P4
    • 8
    • Affects Version/s: fx2.0
    • Component/s: javafx
    • Environment:

Windows 7 64-bit, Intel (HD) graphics, Java 1.6.0_27 32-bit, JavaFX latest build from graphics scrum (b44?) 32-bit, Netbeans 7.0.1

If you download the attached Vines.zip and extract it and open it with Netbeans.
      Run the project.

After a short while under default settings, you will see white chunks around the screen and also
boxes around some of the moving circles. The boxes are not always purely white as they seem to be affected
by the changes in opacity of the circles.

Even if you run the project with -Dprism.dirtyopts=false, you can still on occasion (wait a few minutes, it takes a while)
see some of the circles not be painted entirely. Sometimes they flick back into existence and flicker. In this mode, the boxes and white rectangles
      fail to appear.
