This bug pertains to the following item in the JavaFX 2.1 LInux Developer Preview release notes:
For JavaFX Media: libavcodec52 on Ubuntu Linux 10.uv or equivalent, or libavcodec53 on Ubuntu Linux 11.xy or equivalent. (Encoding type: AAC, MP3 audio, and H.264 video.)
Starting with JavaFX 2.2 b09 and probably even earlier, this item should be changed to read as follows:
For JavaFX Media: libavcodec52 and libavformat52 on Ubuntu Linux 10.04, 10.10, 11.04 or equivalent, or libavcodec53 and libavformat53 on Ubuntu Linux 11.10, 12.04 or equivalent. (Encoding type: AAC audio, MP3 audio, H.264 video, and HTTP Live Streaming.) Note that installing libavformat automatically causes libavcodec to be installed.
This information should either go into a new Developer Preview 2.2 release notes (currently it does not exist), or in the general JavaFX 2.2 GA release notes.
