A test is attached.

1) click on the root to select it
2) click on child-0 with shift down, the root and child-0 are selected
3) click the key "down", child-0-0 is selected
         is this the specified behavior?
4) click on child-2-2 with shift down, all items are selected.
         This must be wrong.
