The JavaFX samples cannot be compiled out of the box because they have a dependency on lucene but the relevant libraries are not provided with the download. Even worse the samples use experimental features of an outdated version of lucene and thus cannot be compiled with a more recent version.

The samples should be updated to the most recent version and the two relevant jars should be delivered together with the sample download package.
