With FireFox or Chrome, when the launch as webstart link is selected in a sample deployed to browser the jnlp is not launched java crashes. The jnlp can be launched directly just not using this link. Another thing to note is that InternetExplorer does not have the same behavior.

Steps:
Select any <sample>.html from the experiments bundle.
Once deployed select the Launch as webstart link in browser above the applet
java crash message appears with following message
