When a stylesheet is added to a Parent, what you do when using the SB, the rules that apply to the root style class are not enabled. This is expected and this is implied by setting the stylesheet on a Parent that is a son of the root node.

The only way to have root rule's declarations to be applied is to have the stylesheet to be set on the Scene. This is something that the DTL-4488 feature will address.
