Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 both 32 and 64 bit.
Java 1.8.0-ea-b89 and b92
I have bought an Ideaco IDC6680 Touch Screen so I can develop JavaFX Touch Event software.
This is to be done on Windows systems and the Raspberry PI.
When I attached the touch screen to my Windows XP system and ran the TouchEvents example,
nothing happened.
I then found and installed Microsoft Tablet PC Platform SDK for Windows XP.
This installed and worked with the touch screen.
I then found and installed a driver for the touch screen - ID1THP01WW1.exe.
I now had utilities to configure the screen and the Tablet PC software worked
very well.
The JaxaFX TouchEvents example still did not work.
Next I tried attaching the screen to a Windows 8 system and running the TouchEvents example.
The driver would not install. The example worked but not very well.
I tried Windows 7. Installing the driver and the tablet pc software worked and the
TouchEvents software also worked fine.
So -
I need to find a driver for Windows 8
Windows 7 works fine
For some reason JavaFX Touch Events do not work on XP and XP 64bit
I see not reason why XP should not be supported.

Don
