Large Numbers of Threads Continuously Created when MediaPlayer is instantiated

      When I instantiate a MediaPlayer and run the resulting program under the Eclipse Debugger, Eclipse shows a large number of threads being created.

      It is claimed that this dupes RT-11702, but RT-11702 does not seem to exist from my search.
