Spec:
According to mouse support section in part of Custom Color selection, when you change color in Hue, RGB, Web panes or in color field, you should assign new color to preview area in preview panes (part of new color). But now, actually, selected color is propagated to control as new value of ColorPicker.getValue() method. See it on the attached movie.
