It seem to be happening because DT native lib is not loaded.

Steps to reproduce:
  - Open any applet sample in IE9
  - Open developer tools (F12)
  - try to switch between different modes

Observe applet does not start in IE9 standards mode ("no java" is reported) but it works in other modes.
