The issue was found with http://jre.us.oracle.com/java/re/jdk/1.9.0/promoted/all/b72/bundles/macosx-x86_64/ on mac 10.10.
To reproduce:
1. Install mentioned bundle on mac.
2. open any applet in safari such as http://sqeweb.us.oracle.com/net/scanas415/export/deployment/larry/fxfeaturesTest/html/HelperClass1.html
3. If you can see a error dialog and by clicking on "more Information" button npe exception trace can be found, the issue is reproduced. See attachment for detailed information about the error.

Note: The issue can also be reproduced on windows platforms with PIT bundle from http://jre.us.oracle.com/java/re/jdk/9/jdk9-client/b74_2015-07-21-0301_3050/
