JRE9: NoSuchMethodError: java.awt.Component.getPeer()Ljava/awt/peer/ComponentPeer

      An application does not launch when running JRE 9u0-b66 or later due to the following error:

      java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: java.awt.Component.getPeer()Ljava/awt/peer/ComponentPeer;


      This also occurs in the latest release JRE 9u0-b78.
      In builds prior to b66 this issue does not reproduce.
