A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
If you have two or more personal-certificates with the same friendly name in your windows-keystore, then no certificate is found. If you uncheck "Don't prompt for client certificate selection when no certificates..." in the advanced tab in the java control-panel then you see that you get an empty list.
REGRESSION. Last worked in version 8u40
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Use a webstart-application which use client-certificates and put an additionally certificates with the same friendly name like the correct client-certificate in your windows-keystore.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
delete all personal-certificates with the same friendly name like the certificate do you want to use.
